Q4: The cons and pros of the existence of resellers from the perspective of economist
A4: The pros of the existence of resellers would be the products being sold out and the economy cycle boosts up. For the cons, the economy cycle would last for a limited term and the economy cycle will stop if the products run out and wait for the products to restock. In addition, it can produce risk due to misreading of demand by manufacturers.
Q5: Experience buying from resellers. (Was it worth it?)
A5: I have never bought anything from resellers, but I have seen many people buying live tickets from resellers. Especially for K-pop concerts, I have been to some of concerts and saw few people getting kicked out because they have been detected of buying tickets from the illegal resellers. From this consequence, I think it is not worth buying tickets or products from the resellers. Although, leaving a vacant seat in concerts may heart your feeling because you do not want the artists to see those seats. However, in order to stop the illegal resellers, we should not buy the tickets from them even if you were not able to get the tickets.
Q21: If selling anime goods that is not trending considered as reselling?
A21: If you want to sell those anime goods as a business, you need the second-hand license. If not, it won’t be considered as reselling.
Q23: How do resellers ensure product authenticity and quality?
A23: There are voices from the Internet that complains about the low quality of products bought from resellers. Therefore, resellers probably don’t care much about quality of the goods they sell.
Q29: Why is the act of reselling being hard to restrict?
A29: The biggest reason is that the act of reselling is legal, and it is hard to detect since it is only done online. Also restricting all the resale is against the market principle of demand and supply.

At first, I didn’t know there were any benefits to reselling, but I was surprised to find rare and unique goods on Mercari. It made me realize that reselling can help meet niche market demand. I also didn’t know that in some cases, resellers are required to obtain a license to operate legally.
返信削除I thought that reselling, especially selling concert tickets or rare idol goods at high prices, was an immoral act that should be restricted. It seemed unfair to real fans who couldn’t afford the high prices. I believed such practices exploited passion and loyalty, turning culture into profit.

返信削除I think the part about K-pop concerts was really interesting. You said some people got kicked out for using tickets from illegal resellers that really shows how risky reselling can be. Even though it’s sad to see empty seats at a concert, I agree with you that we should not support illegal resellers. If we stop buying from them, maybe the problem will get smaller. I also liked how you explained the rules for selling anime goods. That’s something many people don’t know. For more research, maybe you could look into how companies check for fake goods or low-quality items from resellers.
